Elective Cover

This policy has been specially designed to meet the specific needs of medical students on their electives.

This cover should be added to a BMA Services single trip or backpacker policy, to provide the following additional cover:

• Special cover if you suffer a needlestick injury
• Cancellation cover in the event of exam re-sits
• Portable medical equipment included up to a limit of £500
• Cover for adventurous activities
• Lump sum of up to £10,000 if you are infected with HIV
• Cover available for up to 365 days

Your policy also includes a concierge service at no additional cost. This provides 24-hour advice, via a helpline, on a wide range of subjects while you're abroad, such as finding a hotel, local car rental agencies or locating a 24-hour pharmacy in the local area.
